Your Neighbors Need Your Help This Holiday Season

Here at Stewpot, we serve people who live at the edges. Not having enough of this world’s goods, they rely on the generosity of others to secure basic things like food, shelter, and clothing. Isolated by their station in life, they rely on the hospitality of places like Stewpot to find help, welcome, and belonging.

This holiday season, you can help those living on the margins by making a gift to Stewpot. A donation to Stewpot ensures a hot meal, safe shelter and warm clothing for men, women, and children in need. It helps provide important support services like learning supports for at-risk kids and teens, street outreach for those unable or unwilling to coming to Stewpot, and help finding permanent housing.

Through our Spirit of Giving alternative gift campaign, you can make a donation in honor or in memory of your friends and loved ones. When you send your donation to Stewpot with your list of honorees, Stewpot will send a special holiday card, on your behalf, acknowledging that a donation has been made in their honor. You will receive a letter thanking you for your donation and that can be used for tax purposes.

Stewpot exists because people like you want those who live on the margins to know that they are not forgotten.

This holiday season, please consider honoring your loved ones and remembering those in need through a gift to Stewpot. In doing so, you will ensure that, in the words of the Christian Scriptures, “those who have little do not have too little.”

Grace and Peace,

Rev. Jill Buckley, Executive Director
Rev. Dr. Ricky James, Stewpot Chairman of the Board
