BankPlus Red Beans & Rice Festival
Each year, dozens of congregations, professionals, and individuals vie for the coveted title of the Best Red Beans & Rice in town, and people from all around the metro area turn out to sample the competitors’ beans, listen to the bands, and enjoy the festivities. This year's event will be held on Saturday, October 29th at The Mississippi Museum of Art from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The celebration includes kid-friendly activities such as face painting, a Halloween costume competition, pumpkin carving, and more! And, for the adults, there will be craft vendors, a cash bar, the Inaugural Bean Bag Toss Tournament, and art available for purchase created by friends of Stewpot. Hosting the event at the Museum of Art provides a rain-or-shine venue for the food, kid’s activities, music and all of the other fun and festivities. This event is guaranteed to be a fun-filled day of bean eating, cold beverages, children’s activities, musical talent, and more.
- This year we will be hosting the Inaugural Bean Bag Toss Tournament! It will be a double elimination style tournament with two players to a team. To enter is $40 for both players, which includes general admission to the festival. Choose the "Bean Bag Toss Tournament Registration" ticket option to enter!
- Are you a craft vendor interested in setting up a booth at the event? Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, or choose the "Craft Vendor Registration" ticket option to sign up.
Tickets are on sale now! Get them in advance for $10 or you can purchase them at the event for $15. Children 10 and under receive FREE admission!
